AP Swift
Accounts Payable Desktop Web App
Project Overview
AP Swift is a concept for an enterprise-grade Accounts Payable software. The app would track the life-cycle of an AP Invoice from initial purchase order, all the way to scheduled invoice payment, in the simplest way possible.
My very first office job was a summer internship for my Dad's accounting firm in San Francisco, which began an interest in accounting software. As I learn more about modern accounting firm operations, it reminds me of how developers leverage GitHub/Jira for issue tracking.
As a design exercise, I set out to take some of the agile features of modern project management software and apply them to Accounts Payable software.

Final Thoughts
AP Swift's secret sauce is found in its specialized views. The kanban view offers an at-a-glance overview of the AP automation and collaboration features. Invoices can be easily viewed alongside their history of changes and workflow sign-off. Navigation is as easy as well known productivity app, Trello.
The Gantt view provides insights into the AP Aging status of the invoices. Milestones are created to signify dates for payment runs. This allows accounting firms to operate more like agile developers and operate sprint-to-sprint.
The Aging Status and Approval Status each have their own chipset with color combinations to allow the user to quickly glean information regarding the invoice.
